The sky’s the limit for Alzheimer’s Support
The sky's the limit for Alzheimer's Support
November, 2008
Two members of Alzheimer's Support staff are taking to the skies to raise money for their charity
on Saturday 29th November.
Emer Worth, office
manager and Lisa Flower, home care worker will
be doing a tandem skydive from 13,000 feet at
Netheravon, the home of the Army Parachute
Association. The fundraising event has been
made possible by the kind sponsorship of The
Consortium. The Consortium paid for the cost of
the jump, which means that Alzheimer's Support will receive every penny of the
money raised by Emer and Lisa. To date the pair have raised just under £2,000 in
sponsorship through a combination of cash donations and online giving. Check
out Emer's fundraising page at www.justgiving.com/emerworth to see donations
and comments.
Patricia Mitchell, Income Generation Manager said "as fundraising becomes
more difficult in these challenging economic times we are relying on the
community and local support to ensure we can continue to deliver vital services.
Thanks to Emer and Lisa for your courage and to The Consortium for their
generosity. £2000 would fund over 200 hours of care for people with Alzheimer's
in their home as well as providing their carer with a break"
