The Consortiums Certification with the British Standards Institution

The Consortium is committed to achieving Standards that continually improve business practices, the environment and the workplace. We use the following tools to help us achieve this

  • BS EN ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management provides a framework for managing and improving an organisations business using a process approach.
  • BS EN ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management is a European standard to assist an organisation with managing its environmental aspects.
  • OHSAS 18001:1999 Health & Safety Management addresses Health & Safety issues to help identify and control risks in the workplace.

Using these tools, The Consortium is able to demonstrate its ability to:

  • provide products and services that fulfil the customer’s requirements
  • evaluate all of the good and bad impacts our activities have on the environment
  • do everything within our power to reduce the risk of injury and provide a positive working environment.

All The Consortium’s processes are regularly maintained and internally audited and we have adopted a wider approach to Sustainable Development as a whole. We have invested in our staff and ensure a number of fully trained Risk Assessors, Fire Marshals and First Aiders are on site at all times.

Our certification body is the British Standards Institution which means a schedule of external assessments to ensure compliance to all three standards. The Consortium has been certified to these standards for a number of years and the certificate numbers and scope are:

  • BS EN ISO 9001:2000 - FS 35430
  • BS EN ISO 14001:2004 - EMS 84896
  • OHSAS 18001:1999 - OHS 84897
